maggie-stiefvater:

Today I got a message that made me rageful.

It was about a scene in The Dream Thieves. I don’t want to be spoilery, so I will just say it goes like so: Boy wants to kiss Girl. He asks her. Girl says no, even though he asked nicely. She does not want to kiss him, Girl says. He does not kiss her….

Oh my, I had so much fun working on this painting. Another one of my favorite scenes in Eleanor and Park.
And yes, that’s a cameo appearance by eleven-year-olds Simon and Baz from Fangirl. I’ve been itching to draw them and thought they fit well in this scene. I’m not going to explain what they’re doing here. I also don’t need to tell you how I was swooning myself when I was drawing them, but there you go. SIMON AND BAZ NEED THEIR OWN BOOK. PLEASE.

The question isn’t:
Why are 11-year-old Simon and Baz holding hands on Eleanor and Park’s school bus?
The question is:
WHY AREN’T THEY ALWAYS SITTING THERE?
*writes handholding Simon/Baz babies into current novel*
*feels great about it*
(I’m very fond of you, Lauren Baldo. This is adorable.)
